After rumors and plenty of leaked images, the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado has the green light for next year. And even if official images are on the way, some patent drawings have popped up online, giving us a closer look at how the model will look and feel.
Exterior
The 2027 Chevrolet Silverado will not be going against tradition as we can illustrate using the patent drawings and similar illustrations. The general form is straight and square, evidently utilitarian.
Up front, there’s a slim light bar running along the hood line. The main headlights sit lower, forming a bold C-shaped layout. It’s familiar, but tightened up.
The rear follows the same theme. C-shaped taillights mirror the front design, with a trim piece stretching across the tailgate. Twin hood bulges remain, and the rear bumper shows cutouts for four exhaust tips. Overall, the changes are quite subtle, yet it feels like the car’s lines are cleaner, and the proportions feel a bit more refined.
Complete Powertrain Information
Engine details haven’t been confirmed, and that will remain an open question for some time.
What is expected is the arrival of a hybrid option. V8 engines are also expected to stay in the lineup. Unlike the current turbo-diesel approach, the hybrid system is described as more conventional in layout.
In that form, the following 2027 Chevy Silverado would be the direct competitor to the other expensive trucks in the market, including the Toyota Tundra i-Force Max or the Ford F-150 PowerBoost. In addition to that, in the case of the Sierra, a plug-in hybrid may be released later this year.
Interior
Interior details are limited as well. Even so, a more screen-heavy layout is expected. A large widescreen display, similar to recent Cadillac models, is also referenced. Other expected new features include improved material quality or advanced driver-assistance technology such as Super Cruise.
Other Specifications
Chassis updates are also on the table with plenty of new and advanced mechanics. One of these might be coil-spring rear suspensions for better ride comfort, the same tech that other rivals are already using.
Pricing
Another mystery is the price. However, specialists believe that the new-gen Silverado might come with a starting price below $40,000, a bit higher than the current model.

The next Silverado sharpens its design, prepares for electrification, and modernizes its cabin approach. Familiar, yes—but clearly adjusted for what buyers expect next.
