The G90 is/was considered a more affordable, yet luxurious alternative for the likes of the Mercedes-Benz, Audi, or BMW, comprising technology at its best, impressive performance, and standard features that you would normally pay for if you choose one of the high-end models from the German manufacturers listed below.

The Genesis G90 in its latest shape offers exquisite features on the exterior, luxurious features inside the cabin, and a powerful motorization under the hood. However, the difference between the new G90 and the latest-generation BMW 7-Series for instance, is that the former comes with standard features that are extremely expensive otherwise.

The luxurious spinoff of the South-Korean-based Hyundai manufacturer, the 2020 G90 promises to be the best luxury sedan money can buy; Speaking of which, an order guide was issued and reveals the prices of the new G90.

2020 Genesis G90 – Prices

G90 3.3T premium – Prices to start at $73,195 (including the $995 destination fee).

G90 5.0 Ultimate – Prices to start at $76,695 (including the $995 destination fee).

Note: Each variant adds up other features available at extra-cost. For instance, the all-wheel drive version is available for an extra $2,500, bringing the Ultimate model for instance, at $80,000, which makes it the most expensive Genesis ever built.

Now, let`s compare it with high-end models from German manufacturers: the Audi A8 costs $86,195, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is set at $95,245, while the BMW 7-Series can be had from $87,445.

What Do You Get for That Money?

The 2020 Genesis G90 is a completely new car, and the changes are instantly visible at the exterior. Thanks to the company`s new design language called “Athletic Elegance”, the luxury sedan looks more mature yet retains the same classic stance.

Inside, things are brought to a whole new level, thanks to the high-end materials and technology at its best. And yes, it is the same technology you can find on the new 7-Series or brand-new Audi A8, only it comes standard. So, you don’t have to cash out for additional features. Standard is the 12.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along the plethora of safety features, also coming as standard. These include rear cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, or Safe Exit Assist, the latter one waning the driver of oncoming traffic when the door is open. There is also the manufacturer`s Highway Driving Assist system with adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist, both being semi-autonomous systems that keep track of bumper-to-bumper traffic on the highway.

The sad part is that the new Genesis G90 will retain the same engines and the same eight-speed automatic transmission. We are dealing here with a 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 pot, alongside a 5.0-liter V8 with an impressive 420 horsepower.

With all these attributes, it is definitely clear that the 2020 G90 is a worthy competitor in the luxury sedan segment for the likes of the Mercedes-Benz, Audi, or BMW, with the main advantage that is cheaper, yet it offers exclusive features and high-end gadgetries as standard.
